Rich comes to the Freedom Airlines' DO position with 25 years of airline experience. Captain Mackey started his career with Mesa Air Group as a Beech 1900 F/O for Air Midwest. He upgraded to Captain on the BE1900 and transitioned to Mesa as a simulator training instructor on the EMB145 in 2001. His previous positions within the airline have included Mesa/Freedom Instructor, Check Airman, Regional Chief Pilot in PHL, IAD,and BNA, and Charter Coordinator. He remains current and qualified in the ERJ145.
