Craig McDannell joined Mesa Airlines in February 2000 as the East Coast Regional Director. In April 2005, McDannell was promoted to Director of Customer Service for Freedom Airlines a subsidiary of Mesa Air Group. In October 2010, he returned to Mesa Airlines as Director of Airport Operations and Customer Service.

During his tenure with Mesa, McDannell has overseen procedural and regulatory compliance for multiple code share partners in 92+ locations with more than 430 daily departures in six Hub locations. He has participated in the successful FAA certification of four different aircraft types to the Mesa/Freedom Airlines operating certificates.

Craig attended Gulf Coast State in Panama City, Florida and has participated in multiple aviation training courses including Dangerous Goods, Hazardous Materials training, Ground Security and Crisis Resolution training. He also completed C.A.S.E. Maintenance Vendor Standard 1-A Auditor Training.
